Branson Trip Pictures

Had a great time, it was pretty hot and we got to ride tons of rides. Not alot of lines, so that was a good thing. This was before I sprained my ankle too...Thank goodness! The kids were great, the food was great, EVERYTHING was great!! Now back to everyday life!

I can't catch a break lately...

I sprained my ankle on the boat a little over a week ago, so no workouts for me lately. I have never done that before and didn't realize how much it sucks!! :-( Going up and down stairs especially.

This is such a busy month. We have 10 birthdays for friends and family this month, 4 dentist appointments, school shopping, school open houses and meetings. Today Ben is at the PGA tournament so I am sure he is having a great time...other than the 100 degree weather!! No cell phones allowed so I haven't got to talk to him yet today and see how much fun he is having.

I haven't been on the computer until today and checking out Tracker...WOW TNT is all I can say. She looks amazing!! It really makes me want to get back in the gym and hit it HARD!! Hope to at least get back in the gym next week and do UBWO and probably some recumbent bike. I don't know how long this ankle is going to take to heal, but I hear it could be several more weeks.

Rain Rain Go AWAY!

I feel like a fish these days, not only am I eating alot of it...but it just rains here constantly! LOL The kids were supposed to go to the waterpark today...guess that will be put on hold.

Ben played golf on the 4th of July, BIG MISTAKE! I told him his wrist wasn't ready for that but who am I! Needless to say he has been pretty sore and put off lifting a little longer. He just doesn't learn though, he told his buddies he will be at Basketball on Monday night!!

Eating is decent not perfect but better than the past 6 mos for sure! My workouts have been pretty sporadic, HIIT is consistent but getting the lifting done has been a challenge. Seems like something comes up every night! I will be back in the gym tonight though. I will be starting a new challenge on the 23rd...my 15th class reunion is coming up in exactly 12 weeks, and I am still thinking about going to TN.

Ben had his checkup and xrays. Everything looks great, she says he should be back to 100% in about 6-8 weeks! Yeah! I won't have to tie his shoes anymore!! LOL It has been a busy week so far and I am so ready for the Lake this weekend.

I am concentrating on eating 100% clean! I am tired of being the one that works out consistently and being the one that looks the worst (in my eyes)! So, this week has been awesome! Eating right on and workouts right on!! YEAH ME!!

Still car shopping, any ideas? I might hold out til the new Camaro convertibles come out in late 08 or 09 I don't know. I love my car it's just got alot of bugs!

1) Ben's tumor/surgery

2) Out of the blue, I get an email the other day from Ancestry.com saying they have info on my biological Father. So to see ALL the info it costs like $100, but they showed me enough to let me know that it was really him. So, I decide I am going to call a friend of mine who is a detective, just so happens he has someone at his desk that day with his laptop who can enter the name, DOB and "VOILA" there he is! However, he died in 1998. So, I send off for a copy of the death certificate and sure enough I get it in the mail today and it was for sure him. My Mom died Dec 20, 1996 and ???coincidence??? my Dad died Dec 20, 1998!!! How WEIRD is that?

I am pretty bummed that I never got to know him, he left when I was 2 and had limited contact with me until I was 5. He was a Police Officer and seemed to be a pretty upstanding guy, so how do you leave your child and never see them again?? Anyways, it says he moved straight from Ok to Las Vegas and owned/managed a trailer park and was a Surveylance Manager in a Casino. Pretty cool I guess. He went on to marry twice, so I am sure that I have other siblings somewhere. Do I really want to open that can of worms? Doubtful, I don't really get along with the two I have! LOL

and finally 3) My car is going haywire on me again and is in the shop! $1600 to fix it, do I fix it or trade it in? I am so tired of this dang thing! Nothing out there really jumps out at me and says "Buy Me!" I don't know.

UPDATE

First off, the Dr believes the tumor to be benign! We haven't gotten the official lab results back yet but she said she has seen enough in her years that she can usually tell pretty quick when she sees it under the microscope. So, YEAH "sigh" of relief.

He is still in a little bit of pain and sleeping in the recliner, so I don't accidentaly smack him in the middle of the night. LOL He's dying to get back in the gym, so I told him maybe riding the recumbent bike would be ok. He will definitely not be lifting heavy anymore. They drilled the tumor out and filled it back in with a cement/polymer/medicine mixture that dried within a few minutes. They will do x-rays every 4 months and then each year to watch for any more. Apparently there is a pretty good chance that they come back in the same bone for whatever reason.

Lots of other stuff going on this week too. Have to fill ya'll in that tomorrow when I have more time.

Bone Biopsy

Well, I know last week I was jokingly saying my husband was a complainer! Today I know why he is in so much pain. The dr appt yesterday went as follows: Ben you have a tumor growing in your bone at the top of your wrist, this is very rare and only one doctor in Oklahoma looks at these cases, you will go to see her on Tues the 29th at the Oklahoma Orthopaedic Oncology Center at Mercy Hospital and she will perform a bone biopsy. Needless to say this is most certainly the last thing that either of us were expecting to hear! Both of his parents lost their battle to cancer and so he is not taking this news well. We won't know anything for a while, possibly weeks I guess but I will keep you updated. I am doing tons of research on the net but not knowing exactly what to research is driving me crazy, they say the waiting is some of the worst! Anyways, my mood today is pretty crappy and it is pouring down rain outside~

OK, so things are really crazy and I am thinking I don't have time to post here. The computer has been only for work lately!! But, I will try to get back on here and post monthly or weekly if possible. Not that I have anything important to say anyways. LOL

Ben has been having tons of problems lately, it's either his back or his shoulder or his wrist or sleep problems or something else!! I am so tired of hearing him complain, I really wish they would get him fixed up! LOL He is at the EOC center in Tulsa today for his wrist they think it is some sort of cyst that is putting pressure on his tendons, but they really don't know????

So, school is almost out and I don't know what I am doing with my kids for the summer yet??? Decisions! My Step-Grandpa passed away a few weeks ago and I FINALLY located my brother and took him to the funeral. My sister could really care less and my brother...well, he's kind of a loser. Sometimes I think I am the only sane person in my family! However, Family Reunion is coming up Memorial Day weekend so I have to go see all the family then! I NEED A VACATION!!! Oh yeah, we just got back! We went on vacation in Mexico and that was AWESOME! But I would go again tomorrow if I could. Will try to post a few pics later.

Still working out consistently, Ben said I should win for most dedicated at the gym!? If only I could get my eating on track I would be good to go. It is so hard to concentrate when you have so much going on though. Nina is playing well at shortstop and Jack is in T-Ball so we are constantly running between fields! Seems like a neverending volunteer issue at both schools and I work full time with my husband, and when you're self-employed you don't get paid if you're not there to take care of your customers! Needless to say my house has also been neglected, but I can't complain ( or shouldn't rather!)

I had a GREAT Birthday/Mother's Day! Turned the big 33!! I don't feel any older though :) My kids made a huge deal about the whole day and made me some really awesome keepsakes. We grilled out with some friends, went to see Spiderman 3 (disappointing) and just had a pretty great day all around.

My cousin Amanda got married on Sat and she looked just gorgeous! I LOVE weddings! Cute picture of us together don't ya think?

So, there is my current situation in a nutshell.

Down a few pounds...

That is always a good thing huh?? Well, the kids are back in school and the snow is melting so I am getting back to routine. It's 2:30 and I am having my protein shake, this challenge is going well, just have to keep the motivation going. That's about it for now. Hope everyone is having a great BFL day!

WOW I need to update this blog!!

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted, just nothing going on worth mentioning. Holidays were great, the kids got just what they wanted. Now to start off the New Year with a bang! I started a new challenge Jan 1st and am off to a great start, now if I can just finish it I will be good to go! If I plan on going to see Beka compete I have to get in shape! I am really hoping to go but we have alot of things coming up, so we will just have to wait and see.

I am anxiously awaiting the BFL champs announcement to see if Jen (1leanmom) gets her jacket or not!!! Wouldn't that just be awesome?
